It’s summer here in California and the flies can be so pesky can’t they?
Here are a couple of quick tips to rid you of a good part of them. When you change disposable diapers, put the soiled diapers in a brown lunch bag and roll the tops down before tossing them in your garbage can. The flies won’t be so drawn to your garbage avoiding flies and maggots (YUK!!!!!).
If you have dogs, chickens, horses or anything else that draws flies, check out Fly Predators on Goggle or go to http://www.valleyvet.com/
This description was taken from the valleyvet website. Fly Predators are a natural alternative to fly sprays and chemicals. Fly Predators are beneficial bugs that control flies naturally. Fly Predators stop pest flies by taking over the fly’s cocoon, thereby killing immature pest flies. These tiny insects are the natural enemy of flies, but never bother people or animals. You’ll likely never see them, but you will see their results. Simply sprinkle Fly Predators near all manure areas every four weeks beginning in spring and continuing through summer. Fly Predators are effective and easily applied within a few minutes each month. The key is to begin early in the season before pest flies become heavily populated. Not recommended or guaranteed if started late in the season, after August 1, as adequate results may not be achieved.
If you’re reading this post after August 1st, make a note in your calendar to check on this for next year!!!
