Do you need a place to take pictures but don’t have a lot of space? Perhaps this post will be beneficial to you.
We recently got a player piano. We already have a Yamaha baby grand in our living room and weren’t quite certain where we were going to put the new piano. However, when you get a piano for free (especially a player piano) you make room for it right???
After re-arranging our living room and dining room furniture there was a space that needed to be used and so I made the best of it.
This is what I used to get a great photo station:
1-set of 4 bed risers (one of my favorite tools)!
1-48″ long x 24″ wide Lifetime folding table model #80370 (from Costco) with adjustable legs (I set mine at 33″ from the bed risers to the top of the table).
1- IKEA table top, model Linnmon 16353, shiny white, 23 5/8″ wide x 47 1/4″ long x 1 3/8″ thick (It’s the white piece on top of the table…)
1-IKEA table top, Matte white, size 23 5/8″ wide x 39 3/8″ long x 1 3/8″ thick
It can be turned on end as well if you need a tall picture…
1-foam core board for reflector with 2 clamps from Home Depot (to make the foam core stable)
Optional: purchase clearance cabinet doors from IKEA to create different looks like the two below…
Benefits of setting this up?
It’s easy to take down.
It’e easy to create a variety of looks.
It’s a nice clean look as a background.
I also use this area as a work station for other projects such as cutting on a Silhouette or with my laptop connected or to cutting quilt pieces on a GoBig! Accuquilt cutter.
People that come to my house always comment on it. (It can be seen when they come in our front door and I’m working on a project).
Please don’t look closely at the photography on this post. I’m just a beginner but trying to get some good content out to you.
So there you have it. Take 4-5 feet and do something useful with it!
