Hi there and thank you for stopping by my blog. My name is Cheryl Teare and I thought I’d share a few pieces of information so you can get to know me better.
For fun I play the piano (although I used to teach piano), write music, sew, read self-improvement and business books and learn computer programs.
In 2012, I remodeled the upstairs of our home including three bedrooms and two bathrooms. I considered getting my General Contractor’s license. That only came to mind because in 2006, I was the General Contractor on two houses that we worked on and I ended up working with 22 different contractors. My concrete contractor said on the last day of the job, “Cheryl, I don’t know what you do for a living, but you need to quit your job and get a Contractor’s license. I’ve never been on a job that’s gone this smoothly!” Somehow it’s not in the cards right now. However, my husband has lots of tools and I told him I want to learn how to use every one of them. So who knows, perhaps in the future…
I have a love for good tools whether they are in the kitchen, the garage or in my sewing room! Anything that makes my life easier is HUGE for me.
My husband, Jim and I both lost our spouses to cancer and were introduced by a mutual friend. We got married and now have a family of nine children, their spouses, thirty-five grandchildren, my parents and Jim’s mother who are still living. (Yes Christmas is interesting! I shop with an Excel spreadsheet and people are amazed when I show it to them!)
I love to think “out of the box” when solving problems and hate the phrase, “We’ve always done it this way.”
I tend to work backwards in many areas of my life and can’t wait to share the things I’ve learned with you. I hope this blog gives you helpful information that will simplify your life.
